G.I.R.L. 2017: Girl Scouts USA National Convention - October 5-8, 2017

Hop on the Badgerland bus and join us for an inspiring trip to experience the Power of G.I.R.L. at the 2017 Girl Scout National Convention.  Some of the things to look forward to include:

 As part of the package Badgerland Council is putting together, girls and adults will receive charter bus transportation to and from Columbus, OH and registration for the G.I.R.L. 2017.  We will also help you coordinate hotel accommodations.  Additionally, you will get to meet other girls from Badgerland and experience the National Convention together. We are also putting together an awesome commemorative travel kit for your trip!  This kit will include several useful and one of a kind items for you to keep.
The registration cost for our “Badgerland Package�? is $475 per girl and $525 per adult and includes the event registration, bus transportation, and the commemorative travel kit.  The Program Manager of Girl Leadership will work with you further to coordinate hotel accommodations.  Rooms are expected to be in the range of $131 to $232 per night.  We will coordinate with each troop or girl/adult pair on whether they prefer to put 2, 3 or 4 people in each room. (NEWLY ADDED OPTION - Transportation Only, see below for details.)

  • All girls must attend with proper adult to girl safety ratios.  Whether you are attending as a troop or a girl/adult pair, all adults must be background checked and registered adult members.
  • You will need to pack a sack lunch for our departure day of October 5th. Girls will be provided a welcome reception on Friday, breakfast, lunch, and a celebration party on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday as part of their registration fees.  All other meals and souvenirs will need to be provided by the girl/troop.  Expected meal expenses for the girls include supper on Thursday, breakfast, lunch, and supper on Friday, supper on Saturday, lunch and supper on Sunday.  There will be a range of restaurants available within the convention center and within walking distance. Expect to spend between $90 and $150 per person on food/meals. 
  • Convention souvenirs usually include apparel, patches, pens, bags and more in the range of $5 to $50 per item.
  • You may sleep 2 girls in one double bed to save space, as long as you have parent permission.  Please remember that one adult should not be in a room with one girl, unless that girl is part of her own family (e.g. daughter, granddaughter, niece, or ward).
  • NEWLY ADDED - You may choose to register for the bus transportation only for $185.  All other arrangements (event registration & hotel arrangements) are your own responsibility.

  • Girl Registration Cost - $475 (Non-refundable* deposit of $100 due upon registration.  Balance due by September 5th.)
  • Adult Registration Cost: $525 (Non-refundable* deposit of $100 due upon registration. Balance due by September 5th.)
Regular Registration by September 5th: 
  • Girl Registration Cost: $500 (No deposit allowed, must pay in full.)
  • Adult Registration Cost: $560 (No deposit allowed, must pay in full.)
  • NEW OPTION - Transporatation Only: $185.  All other arrangements (event registration & hotel arrangements) are your personal responsibility.
