First to Ratify- Forward! Wisconsin
Wisconsin led by example in June 1919 when the state legislature
voted to approve the 19th Amendment, and was first to deliver its
ratification papers to Washington D.C.
Girl Scouts is partnering with the League of Women Voters in celebrating the 100th anniversary next month with a brief program, a march around Capitol Square, activity tables (including make your own suffragette sash), free frozen custard, and view a special exhibit on display in the Capitol Rotunda.
