Camp Black Hawk
TWO WEEKENDS! Come to one or come to both!

Get away with the crew and spend time together in the beautiful Northwoods at Camp Black Hawk near Antigo. Come north for two extended holiday weekends - Independence Day and Labor Day. Celebrate with your gang for do-it-yourself camping. There’s tons to do including hiking, picnicking, fishing and swimming. Bring your own canoes or kayaks to launch for peaceful paddling on the tranquil lakes. Make your own meals over the campfire. Whether you’re a seasoned camper or first-timer you will enjoy Friends and Family Camp @ CBH!


The Basics

  • All ages and family members welcome
  • At least one attendee must be a registered Girl Scout
    (girl or grown-up)
  • Minimum two-night rental; come all four nights or just a few… your choice
  • Day passes available Saturday and Sunday (July 6 & 7; August 31 & September 1)
  • Reservation Dates: July 3-7 and/or August 29-September 2
  • Full payment required at time of reservation

Sites and Pricing

Waunagon Lodge 
Simple ranch style structure, sleeps 12 on cots with one bathroom and small kitchen.
$30 per person per night. Minimum 6 people.

Platform Tents
Sleeps four on cots. Shared campfire ring.
$40 per tent per night

RV/Camper Sites
There are no amenities for RV/Campers but you are welcome to “park and camp” in place. No campfires allowed except in designated campfire rings. One RV/Camper permitted per reservation.
$30 per site per night

Hike-in Tent Sites
Pitch a tent near the lake or in the woods! No campfires allowed except in designated campfire rings. Two tents permitted per reservation.
$30 per site per night

Spend Saturday and Sunday hanging with your friends by the campfire and lakes. Passes are good 10am-7pm September 1 and 2
$10 per person

Note About Price
Costs per camper are subsidized by Badgerland Council and represent the suggested minimum price. Feel free to pay whatever additional price you believe the outdoor CBH experience is worth to you and your family.

What To Expect

  • We supply the location, you bring everything else, including firewood (similar to a state or national park camping experience).
  • Reservations are first-come; first-served.
  • One site per Girl Scout reservation (example: one platform tent per reservation)
  • Groups of all ages will be on site including kids, women and men.
  • Camp Ranger will be on site.
  • Check-in time between 2-8pm.
  • Check-out before 12 noon.
  • The Main Lodge will be open 7am-11pm (commercial kitchen is not open due to health and safety standards).
  • Access to certain sites around camp may be challenging for people with limited mobility or wheelchair use.
  • No pets permitted, sorry.
  • No alcohol.
  • There are no amenities for RVs and for the peace and quiet of all, generators are also not permitted.
  • All equipment and vehicles must be within designated areas.
  • Lifeguards will not be on site. Personal flotation devices mandatory for water activities.
  • No motorized watercraft permitted.
  • Quiet time starts at 11pm
Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my ATV to cruise the trails at CBH?
Sorry. Camp Black Hawk is a great place to experience peace and quiet so these are not permitted. You may wish to bring your bike.

Can I swim and boat?
Swimming is available but there are no lifeguards on duty. Personal flotation devices are required for water activities. Bring your own canoes, kayaks and paddleboards. Motorized watercrafts are not permitted.

Can I have day visitors at my campsite?
Only if they’ve registered as part of your camp reservation. Everyone in your registration party will receive a wristband upon check-in.

How long can I camp?
Reservations are a minimum of two nights so you can come for three, four or stay all five nights!

Can I make camp in the Main Lodge?
Sorry, the lodge will be open during the days for indoor games and activities or to take shelter from the weather. It will be locked at night, though it will be open from 7am to 11pm.
