Join us for our annual Let’s Go event! It's a day full of learning, connection, resources, celebration and fun for Badgerland's adult volunteers. An exciting keynote speaker, innovative trainings and workshops and a celebratory reception. Let Badgerland celebrate and appreciate you and all that you do as a Badgerland Girl Scout volunteer at Let’s Go: Connect. 

Come to some, Come to all, it's your choice!
  • 9 AM: Registration and coffee
  • 9:30-11:00 AM: Be inspired by Badgerland Council’s leadership and exciting keynote speaker: Meghan Skrepenski.  CEO Meghan created her own business: Raising Strong Girls Boot Camps and Raising Strong Kids Boot Camps to raise a generation that embodies strength, resilience, and empathy. Combining her background in the military, degree in physical/health education, and passion for positive impact, Meghan aspires to teach that kindness matters- no matter what- and that true self-worth and strength are found within.  Meghan will share “STRONG Training…your past does not define you!�? an interactive presentation especially tailored to inspire our Girl Scout volunteers.
11:15 AM to 12:30 PM: Training Session One: Build Your Best Self

  • New Daisy/Brownie Leader Training: This training is required for all NEW Daisy and Brownie troop co-leaders. The training will cover how to lead meetings with girls at the Daisy and Brownie level, the ins and outs of the Girl Scout Curriculum and information on working with our digital resource, the Volunteer Toolkit.
  • Jumpstart Your Fall Product Sales: Get a first look at the products and offers, complete your training and earn a valuable incentive for the In-a-Nutshell sale coming up in October.
  • Money-Earning Activities: Get Ready!: Do your girls have big plans?  What are ideas and options for money-earning activities for Girl Scouts beyond Council Sponsored Product sales?  Learn about what works and what doesn’t and how you can prepare to lead girls in money-earning activities.
  • Communication and Connection Skills: Sharpen your conversation and connection skills and learn new techniques for effective and satisfying communication with the many different people in your life in this interactive workshop.   

12:30-1:30 PM: Enjoy lunch provided by Badgerland Council   

1:45 to 3:00 PM: Training Session Two: Connect with your Troop

  • Finding Great Activities: Field Trip!  Get and give great ideas for activities for your troop outside normal meeting times in this idea and experience exchange led by expert troop co-leaders.
  • Get More Parent Involvement in Your Troop: You don’t have to do this alone! Learn innovative techniques to get more parent involvement in your troop.                                             
  • Great Group Work for Your Troop: Gain and share insight about working with different personality types, group work techniques and more that you can use for more effective troop meetings.
  • Connection Cafe!: Connect with fellow Girl Scout volunteers, share ideas and pick up ideas and resources in a relaxed, drop-in environment.
3:15 to 4:30 PM: Training Session: Connect With Your Community
Pick one: 
  • Panel Discussion: Exchange ideas with Girl Scout Volunteers and community leaders as they share their experiences with community connections and other topics
  • How to Make Community Connections: Learn how to make community connections that will enrich your Girl Scout and personal experience. Come away from this training with valuable resources and a concrete plan.
  • Money-Earning Activities: Community Connections: Do your girls have big plans?  What are ideas and options for money-earning activities for Girl Scouts beyond Council Sponsored Product Sales?  Learn about what works and what doesn’t and how community connections can enhance your money-earning activities.
  • Connection Cafe!: Connect with fellow Girl Scout volunteers, share ideas and pick up ideas and resources in a relaxed, drop-in environment.

4:30ish to 5:15 PM: Reception  
Join us for a low-key, happy-hour style reception when Badgerland celebrates and appreciates you!
