MADISON, Wisconsin - (May 22, 2024) - Thanks to the support of our community, Badgerland Girl Scouts is pleased to announce the phenomenal success of this year's Girl Scout Cookie Program with an impressive 1,350,927 boxes of cookies purchased. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the determination of local Girl Scouts to set and achieve goals. By participating in the iconic Cookie Program, these Girl Scouts gained skills in money management, entrepreneurship, communications, and community engagement.
In May, 576 top sellers, who each sold more than 600 boxes, were honored for their achievements at a VIP Day at Girl Scout camp. Leading the charge was Willow Wales, a 5th grade student from Janesville. Willow sold 7,214 boxes of Girl Scout cookies and is the Top Cookie Seller in Badgerland Council. She also sold more cookies than any other Girl Scout in Wisconsin!
The Cookie Program fuels Girl Scout activities. All proceeds from cookie sales remain local within the community and directly support Girl Scout troops and their experiences including outdoor adventures and community service projects. programs.
