Welcome to Community Connections—the go-to directory for troop leaders and families looking to plan exciting and meaningful outings for Girl Scouts! Whether your Girl Scouts want to earn badges, explore their community, or take part in educational experiences, we’ve made it easier than ever to connect with trusted local partners who share in the Girl Scout mission.
Community Connections is a dynamic and ever-growing list of Badgerland council-approved partners—including small business owners, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and other key players in our community. These partners are committed to offering safe, fun, and badge-earning experiences for Girl Scouts. Each organization listed here has been vetted by Badgerland to meet our high standards for health, safety, and mission alignment. Best of all, you can schedule these outings directly with the partners, without needing prior approval from council—as long as the partner is already listed here.
If you want to work with a partner that is not on this list, please complete the Activity Approval Form. Our Volunteer Experience Team will review the activity and pass the information along to our Education Team, who will determine if the partner can be added to the directory.
Here’s how you can make the most of this valuable resource:
Browse the Directory
Explore the list of trusted community partners below. Each partner offers a variety of experiences—from outdoor adventures to STEM workshops and everything in between. Find activities that align with your troop’s goals or interests, or discover something new for your troop to explore.
Contact Partners Directly
When you’ve found a partner that fits your troop’s needs, feel free to reach out to them directly! Ask about available opportunities, badge-earning programs, or any special group rates. Each partner is ready and excited to work with your troop—just give them a call or send an email to get started!
Plan with Confidence
Rest easy knowing that every Community Connections partner has been highly vetted. They’ve met all Safety Activity Checkpoint requirements and have a Certificate of Insurance on file with Badgerland. This means you don’t need additional approval from the Council for these partners—simply schedule your trip directly!
However, you must ensure that a certified first aid/CPR-trained troop member who has passed a background check is present at the outing. All must have completed the Youth Abuse and Neglect Prevention training.
To make the most of your outing, here are a few tips:
Prepare Questions in Advance: Some partners offer multiple activities or badge-earning opportunities. To ensure the experience meets your troop’s goals, we recommend preparing a list of questions about available programs, scheduling, and any special accommodations your troop may need.
Make Arrangements: Scheduling and payment for outings are the responsibility of the Troop Leader and the community partner. Be sure to clarify details about costs, group sizes, and logistics when making your plans.
If you have any questions about using Community Connections, feel free to reach out to Katie Pavlik at PavlikK@gsbadgerland.org. We’re here to support you every step of the way as you plan memorable experiences for your Girl Scouts!
