With Mother’s Day approach, we are reminded of the enduring bonds and cherished memories shared between mothers and daughters. On this special day, let us celebrate all the incredible women in our lives who have supported and empowered us.
At Badgerland, we are honored to foster and nurture these precious relationships through the timeless tradition of Girl Scouting.
In her childhood, Terri’s mother transported her to troop meetings and outings filled with Girl Scout traditions including crafting sit-upons for summertime sing-alongs around the campfire with troop mates.
When she became a mother herself, Terri sought impactful opportunities for her two sons and twin daughters. For the girls, she chose Girl Scouts. And she chose to lead their troop to have the extra time with her twins while building relationships with their friends. She created a loving, diverse community of caring and sharing and learning and growing…for her daughters, her Girl Scouts, and herself.
Those years were rich with love and friendships.
Fast forward to 2024. Terri is a grandmother to two girls. And she is a troop leader. Granddaughters Rory, a Cadette, and Brooklyn, a Daisy, are enjoying camping trips, community service projects, and skill-building badge activities…all while hand-in-hand with their Troop Leader, Grandma Terri.
“I see what Girl Scouting has done for me in my life and for my daughters. Why wouldn’t I do this for my grandchildren? We are having so much fun being Girl Scouts together!”
-Terri Gile
Terri’s story is a testament to how the Girl Scout experience allows families to weave stronger ties and community connections spanning decades and generations.
Your donation will ensure that more girls and their families can experience the transformative power of Girl Scouting, just like Terri and her loved ones.
