Girl Scouts will:
Tour the humane society and learn how staff and volunteers care for animals and create safe, healthy spaces for them.
Meet a few resident animals and discover how people and pets can help each other through care, companionship, and respect.
Explore the role of the humane society in protecting animals, supporting the community, and connecting families with pets in need of a home.
Girl Scouts will spend time at the humane society to discover how people and animals support one another. During their visit, they will tour the facility and learn how staff and volunteers work each day to provide safe and healthy spaces for animals in need. Girl Scouts will also meet a few resident animals and see firsthand how care, companionship, and respect make a difference in their lives.
Girl Scouts and their adults are invited and encouraged to stay past the programming to meet animals at the Humane Society. Girl Scouts will only meet a select few that are permanent residents of the Humane Society during the program.
Participants will need to wear long pants and closed toe shoes.
This event is not a drop-off event; adults to meet safety ratios.
Additional adults and siblings not permitted, only registered individuals please.
