Badge/Patch: Girl Scout Cultural Richness Patch Series - Celebrating Black History Month Patch

Price: $5 per Youth/ $5 per Adult

Girl Scouts Will:

Honor and learn about the contributions of Black and African American communities throughout U.S. history.

Explore diverse cultural heritage and its impact on society through engaging activities that focus on Black History and the importance of highlighting this month each year.

February is Black History Month, where we honor the incredible contributions, the Black and African American communities have made throughout U.S. history - from civil rights leaders to artists, politicians to inventors. Take this opportunity to learn more about the community's central role in U.S. history and the world. This is a five-part series, and you may attend one, some or all. Each session celebrates a different culture, reminding us that we're stronger together. By acknowledging the diversity, heritage, and contributions of our multicultural communities, Girl Scouts can find new ways to make the world a better place for everyone. With plenty of activities to choose from, the discovery and fun are endless.

There will be no virtual kickoff for this event.  At the beginning of the program, you will receive an email with Badgerland Exclusive resources and ideas to help you complete the patch. Patches will be mailed out at the conclusion of the program.

Don't forget to share photos of your Girl Scouts participating in patch programs to communications@gsbadgerland.org.
