Learn how to respond confidently during common medical emergencies. Participants will complete online coursework followed by an in-person session featuring hands-on CPR, AED, and first aid practice.
Successful completion of both portions is required to earn a two-year certification. The required online coursework must be completed before attending the in-person skills session.
Participants will:
Learn how to respond confidently in emergency situations
Practice hands-on CPR, AED, basic first aid skills, and epinephrine auto-injector and rescue inhaler administration
Earn a two-year certification through the American Red Cross that satisfies state and GSUSA requirements

This blended-learning certification course provides participants with the knowledge and hands-on practice needed to respond to common medical emergencies until professional help arrives. Through online learning, demonstrations, guided practice, and scenario-based activities, participants will build confidence in their ability to act quickly and effectively when it matters most.
Training includes:
Adult, pediatric, and infant CPR
AED use
Basic first aid
Emergency response decision-making
Epinephrine auto-injector and rescue inhaler administration
Participants who successfully complete all course requirements will receive certification.

Important Course Requirement
This course uses a blended-learning format.
Participants must complete the required online coursework before attending the in-person session. The in-person portion focuses on skills practice, demonstration, and assessment and cannot be completed without the online portion being finished in advance.

Logistical Details
Open to Grade 8 through Adult participants.
Certification is awarded upon successful completion of course requirements.
Participants must successfully complete the online pre-work and the in-person skills assessment to receive their certification.
