Ring in 2027 with an unforgettable Girl Scout adventure in Hawaii! Enjoy a spectacular New Year's Eve beach luau featuring dinner, live entertainment, fire dancers, and fireworks over the ocean, while also exploring Hawaii Girl Scout Camp and making memories with fellow Girl Scouts. Participants will have opportunities to choose additional activities as the trip gets closer, creating a fun island adventure. Come celebrate, explore, and welcome the New Year Hawaiian-style!
Girl Scouts will:
Participate in a wonderful New Years Eve Luau on the beach with food, fireworks, and entertainment.
Have the opportunity to choose additional activities as the trip event gets closer
Explore the Hawaii Girl Scout Camp
Youth/Adult Payment: All participants who register for the event will pay the event coordinator directly for the Camp and the Luau no later November 15, 2026 (check, venmo preferred, credit card link available with fee). All participants will be sent a link to reserve their own hotel room using our block for NYE. All Participants will arrange their own flight, car rental and entertainment beyond NYE.
Luau includes a full evening of entertainment including fire dancers, dinner and fireworks over the ocean. $265/person
Camp accommodations: choose one of these three options:
Exclusive use of cabin up to 8 people $915
Individual price of shared cabin $228
No cabin charge (someone else is renting exclusive use of cabin and the individuals registered here are joining them)
You must book NYE Hotel on your own using our link, there are options for a 4 person room or a 6 person room. More rooms of these two types can be added. You will book on your own for your group: Link for the hotel will be sent out once you register through GSEvents.
The planning of this trip includes:
Girl Scouts Cabin at the Camp Paumalu - electricity in cabins; heated shower building & toilets are nearby. From Monday December 28, 2026 - Sunday January 3, 2027
NYE Luau
NYE Hotel Hilton Waikiki Village December 31-January 1
The planning of this trip does NOT include:
Flight - you may book any dates, if needing accommodations outside the camp dates please book accommodation on your own
Bedding at the camp - bring bedding or buy when you get there
Island Transport (car rental recommended)
Food (we will likely rent the camp kitchen and share that expense, trip leader will work with participants to decide this as event gets closer)
Other entertainment
As the date gets closer, we will be joined together on a Facebook event to start discussing ideas. The link to the Facebook group will be sent to you once you register through GSEvents. You can then look there to see who is going in case you want to rent a cabin together.
To meet Girl Scout Youth Safety Standards, to go on this trip you must:
Be a Girl Scout member
All adults must be background checked and have taken their Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention training through Girl Scouts
Badgerland Bucks that are already earned will be accepted for this trip. However, you must register for the event first, make payment with Debbie Bryant, and then fill out the reimbursement form.
