Begin your Torch Award journey during an interactive leadership workshop. Girl Scouts will identify personal strengths, practice teamwork and group-leadership strategies, and create a plan for completing the remaining award requirements through leadership experiences beyond the event.
Participation begins the award process but does not complete the full Silver or Gold Torch Award.
Girl Scouts will:
Develop collaborative leadership skills by identifying personal strengths, understanding how individual contributions support a team, and working with others to establish and achieve shared goals.
Strengthen teamwork and leadership by motivating, supporting, and guiding a group to take meaningful action, foster positive change, and successfully complete a team project.
Build confidence as a leader by reflecting on team experiences, evaluating leadership growth, and identifying how effective teamwork and leadership skills can be applied in future school, career, service, and community opportunities.
This event empowers Girl Scouts to strengthen their leadership skills by exploring their individual strengths, collaborating with others, and working toward shared goals. Participants will learn strategies for motivating and supporting a team, leading with confidence, and turning ideas into meaningful action that creates a positive impact. Through hands-on activities and guided reflection, they will evaluate their leadership growth, recognize the value of teamwork, and discover how these skills can prepare them for future opportunities in school, careers, service, and their communities.
This award stands strong on its own-and it's a prerequisite for the Silver and Gold Award!
