Girl Scouts Will:

Explore local ecosystems, plants, and wildlife while discovering the rich natural and historical heritage of the area.

Enjoy classic camp experiences such as canoeing, swimming, target sports, and hands-on outdoor learning, combining adventure with a traditional camp atmosphere.

Earn badges from the Naturalist series along with Core Camp Badges, celebrating accomplishments in outdoor skills and environmental stewardship.

 

Connect with nature and history at Rooted in Nature, where six days and five nights at Camp Ehawee immerse Girl Scouts in outdoor adventures, environmental discovery, and historical exploration. Campers will canoe, hike, swim, and explore while learning about the plants, animals, and landscapes that make our region unique.

 

Hands-on activities bring the natural world to life, from identifying local flora and fauna to discovering historic landmarks and the stories behind them. Campers also enjoy classic camp experiences like archery, water fun, low and high ropes challenges, and creative crafts, all designed to build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills.

 

Camp Highlights:

Explore Nature & History: Investigate ecosystems, observe wildlife, and uncover the natural and historical significance of the land around Camp Ehawee.

Outdoor Skills & Adventure: Develop canoeing, swimming, hiking, and target sports abilities while building teamwork and self-reliance.

Badge Earning: Complete the age-appropriate Naturalist series badges along with Core Camp Badges such as Camper, Trail Adventure, and level-specific options (Junior-Gardener, Cadette-Archery, Senior-Paddling) to celebrate new skills learned and accomplishments earned.
