What is the Girl Scout Influencer Patch?
The Marketing and Communications team at Badgerland has created the Girl Scout Influencer Patch, which Girl Scouts across Badgerland can earn by completing the monthly patch challenge. After finishing the initial challenge, Girl Scouts can continue to earn “influencer hearts” by submitting content to Badgerland for review and potential feature.

Do I need to collect media release for photos and videos I take?
It’s best practice to collect media releases to accompany any photos or videos you share with council. While media release forms are not required for Girl Scout members (as they agree to a media release during membership registration), it’s a good idea to collect them for non-member adults and minors appearing in your media. Forms to use: Adult Media Release and Minor Media Release
How do I increase my chances of being featured?
Here are a few tips:
- Include photos or videos with your submission (make sure you have verbal permission from anyone featured in your content).
- Show what you were doing, where, when, and why you chose to do it.
- Take Action projects and community events tend to do well!
Who receives the patch and hearts?
The Girl Scout Influencer Patch is open to Junior-Ambassador Girl Scouts and Volunteers. You can only earn the patch once, but you can continue earning hearts each time your content is featured by Badgerland.
Can I buy the patch?
No, the patch is a special thank-you from the Marketing and Communications team for contributing to the Girl Scout Movement.
I sent photos or videos to Badgerland's Customer Care and/or Marketing team, and they were posted on social media. Do I get the patch?
Influencer patch and hearts are awarded only to Girl Scouts who have already earned the Influencer Patch and submitted their content through the official Influencers Content Submission Form. However, please continue sharing your troop's photos and videos with us—we love showcasing all the amazing things Badgerland Girl Scouts are doing!
