Girl Scouts of Wisconsin - Badgerland is entering an exciting new chapter, and we’re proud to welcome Carrie Nevins as our new Chief Development Officer.
Across our region, Girl Scouts are discovering confidence, building leadership skills, exploring new interests, and finding spaces where they feel supported and encouraged to be themselves. Carrie’s leadership will help strengthen the partnerships and community support that make those experiences possible for more families and communities throughout our region.
Carrie brings decades of nonprofit leadership experience and a strong track record of building relationships that help organizations and communities grow together. Throughout leadership roles with the American Heart Association and ALS Association, Carrie has helped bring people together around causes that matter and strengthen support for mission-driven work across the Midwest.
This role also holds a personal connection. Carrie and her daughters were all Girl Scouts, giving Carrie firsthand insight into the lasting impact the Girl Scout experience.
As Chief Development Officer, Carrie will lead fundraising and partnership efforts that help strengthen, expand access to, and elevate the Girl Scout experience throughout Badgerland. That support helps create the moments that shape who Girl Scouts become: discovering confidence while trying something new, finding the courage to use their voice, building resilience through challenges, exploring passions that spark their curiosity, and finding belonging in a community that encourages them to grow as their authentic selves.
From outdoor adventures and STEM exploration to entrepreneurship, community service, and lifelong friendships, these experiences help Girl Scouts discover the power already within them and build the confidence to carry it into every part of their lives.
Throughout a nonprofit career rooted in community connection and service, Carrie has built teams, strengthened partnerships, and helped bring people together around causes that matter. That experience and perspective come at an important moment as Badgerland Girl Scouts continues investing in opportunities that help Girl Scouts grow into courageous leaders, caring community members, and confident individuals prepared to shape the future in their own way.
Outside of work, Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters. Their family can often be found at hockey rinks, softball fields, and track events throughout the year. Carrie also enjoys hiking and reading, especially when there’s time to unplug and spend time outdoors.
The future of Girl Scouts is built one experience, one connection, and one community at a time. We’re excited to welcome Carrie into this work and grateful for every volunteer, donor, family, alum, and community partner helping create spaces where Girl Scouts feel supported, inspired, and empowered to grow into who they’re meant to become.
