Cookie Sheet 14: April 17, 2026

ACH #2 This Week

April 23: Balance Due (as of April 21)
The debit on April 23 will withdraw your troop’s final balance.

Any Delinquent Parent Forms received by council will be entered into Smart Cookies prior to this date. Once submitted, your troop is no longer responsible for payment or collection for those cookies. Council will retain the troop proceeds for any delinquent parent balances until the full amount is paid.

If your troop choose the Renewal Opt In reward option, a $60 per Girl Scout that earned it will be added to the Amount Due Council by the 21^st.

If your troop will not have enough funds to cover this final ACH, please reach out to Info@gsbadgerland.org no later than 12 Noon on April 21 with the amount we are able to pull.

Girl Scouts Who Sold 600+ Boxes

Have Girl Scouts in your troop who sold 600 or more boxes this season? Be sure they check their email on April 22 for the Adventure Point Survey.

Submitting the survey on time helps ensure everyone receives their rewards without delay.

Kalahari Troop Reward

If your troop selected the Kalahari reward, keep an eye on your email in early May. You’ll receive instructions to:

Choose your attendance date
Purchase additional tickets, if desired

Can my troop split between two dates?
Yes. Troops may attend on June 7 and/or June 14.

If your troop chooses to split:

Council will provide free adults to meet safety ratios for one date
The troop will need to provide background-checked adults (at their own cost) for the second date

Additional tickets are available for $60 per person.

Troop Direct Ship Orders

Be sure to check for these special orders placed by customers who visited girlscoutcookies.org to find a booth nearby and chose to have cookies shipped directly instead. Your troop number may have been featured that day!

To view your orders, hover over Orders and select Troop Direct Ship Orders. Scroll to the bottom of the page to distribute the orders to Girl Scouts. These cookies are a great way to support a Girl Scout who is close to reaching their next goal.

Troop Volunteer Incentive

We know how much care and effort goes into leading a troop through the Girl Scout Cookie Program—and this incentive is just for you.

Troop Cookie Coordinators and Troop Co-Leaders will be entered into a drawing by completing the following:

Ensure your troop’s Total On Hand inventory in ABC Smart Cookies is zero or higher (no negative numbers) by April 14 at 11:59 p.m. (Individual flavors don’t matter—just the total.)
Submit all recognition orders (main and troop) by April 16 at 11:59 p.m.

Ten winners will be selected, and the first-place prize is a Badgerland camping chair.

Preparing for Cookie Rewards

This week is a great time to check in on your troop’s progress. Run the Girl Cookie Order Summary to see how close your Girl Scouts are to their next reward level—they might be just a small step away!

Placing Recognition Orders

Before you create your troop’s recognition orders
Take a few minutes to make sure everything is set up for success:

In ABC Smart Cookies, update your troop information under the My Troop tab
Confirm your Proceed Plan, Main Recognition Plan, and Troop Recognition Plan are correct
Complete all transfers:
- Troop to Girl
- Girl to Troop
- Girl to Girl
Gather each Girl Scout’s Family Responsibility Form so you have their reward choices ready

Placing the orders
Follow these steps to submit your orders:

Go to the Rewards tab and select Recognition Orders
Choose Main Recognition Order
Enter reward selections for each Girl Scout (where applicable)

Pro tip: Don’t forget the Cookie Share and Cookie Booth patches. Under each Girl Scout’s reward selection, click the “Extras” tab and manually check the boxes for any earned patches.

Click Save
Select Troop Recognition Order and indicate whether your troop earned it
Choose how your troop would like to celebrate together
Enter only the number of Girl Scout sellers (council will adjust for adult safety ratios if needed)
Click Save

Update Your Proceed/Reward Plan

Don’t forget to update your troop’s recognition plan before entering rewards at the end of the sale. This is where you’ll choose whether your troop is participating in the Troop Renewal Program, opting out of individual rewards, troop rewards, both, or neither.

You can update this information at any time. We recommend completing this step early so it’s one less thing to think about later.

Consignment Cookies

Planned Orders placed on March 29 and April 5 will be consignment orders. This means troops may return unsold cookies if needed. Consignment is subject to availability at any open cupboard.

Gluten-Free Sold Out for Direct Ship

ABC shared today that Gluten-Free cookies are no longer available for online Direct Ship orders and have been turned off in the platform, as the distribution center has run out of inventory. All other varieties are still available at this time.

Cookie Share Update

Thank you for your patience as we worked to correct the errors on the Cookie Share Flow Chart. After reviewing feedback from last week, we’d like to provide a few clarifications to help ensure everything runs smoothly:

Donation Orders Clarified

If a donation-only order is placed through an in-hand sale or a Girl Scout site and is paid via credit card, Venmo, or PayPal , the cookies will come from Council supply . This is because the transaction flows from ABC into Digital Cookie.
If a donation-only order is placed through an in-hand sale and paid with cash , the cookies will come from the Girl Scout/troop supply, unless the troop decides otherwise.
If a customer would like to donate cookies to a troop’s chosen Cookie Share partner and pay via credit card, Venmo, or PayPal, please follow these steps:
- Add one box of any flavor to the order along with the remaining boxes as donations.
- This ensures the order is fulfilled from the Girl Scout/troop supply.
- The Girl Scout can then donate all boxes instead of distributing the single box to the customer.

Order-Taking Troops: Planned Order Due by March 22 at 10 p.m.

Order-taking troops should calculate the total number of packages needed for each Girl Scout by combining:

In-person order card totals
Online Girl Delivery orders from Digital Cookie

Please have each Girl Scout provide their totals individually so you can verify them in ABC.

How to pull Girl Delivery orders in ABC Smart Cookies:

Go to Reports > Current
Select Orders: Girl Cookie Order Details Report
Set:
- Order Type: Girl Delivery
- Unit of Measure: Packages
View as TEXT_EXCEL

Sort the Orders by Cookie Share. If any cookie share orders are donation ONLY (no other cookies are ordered for delivery), delete these from the report. These have already been transferred to the Girl Scout in ABC and will come from Council Cookie Share.

After removing Cookie Share donation ONLY orders, total up the donation and flavor columns. These are the cookies you'll need to order in your planned order for your troop to fulfill this Girl Scouts cookie delivery needs. Remember, if the report shows 21 packages for Cookie Share, you’ll need to include 21 packages (any variety) in your order to fulfill those donations.

You can also access this information in Digital Cookie:

Scroll to the bottom of your dashboard
Select All Orders Data report
Filter for In Person Delivery with Donation and In Person Delivery orders

Booth Etiquette Reminder

Council-secured booths include a 30-minute buffer between troop reservations. This time allows:

The first troop to finish sales (especially if a line is present) and pack up
The next troop to set up and begin on time

Please plan for the first troop to fully clear the space within 15 minutes after their shift ends to ensure a smooth transition.

Cookie Sheet 9: March 13, 2026

Cookie Share Update Correction

If a Girl Scout has an in-hand order that is donation only, those cookies will come from the Council supply, not the Girl Scout’s troop supply as originally printed.

Please refer to the updated chart for the correct information.

ACH #1 Happening This Week

Troops pay Badgerland Council for all cookies received. These payments are debited from the troop’s checking account using the ACH (Automated Clearing House) withdrawal process.

On March 11, your troop should have received an email letting you know the amount of the withdrawal taking place on March 18. If you did not receive an email OR if you need to edit the amount of your email, please reach out no later than March 15 to info@gsbadgerland.org.

March 18: 40% Withdrawal
The debit from your troop account will reflect 40% of the balance owed, based on reports in Smart Cookies as of March 11.

Payments will be recorded in the Finances section of Smart Cookies by March 26.

Cookie Returns — March 21–22

Returns will be accepted only on March 21 and 22 at the following cupboards:

Janesville Cupboard: 3–7 p.m.
La Crosse Cupboard: 2–7 p.m.
Verona Cupboard: 2–7 p.m.

Return guidelines:

Returns are limited to ½ case (6 boxes) per Girl Scout registered to the troop, including Girl Scouts who are not selling cookies.
Returns must be made in full case increments.
Troops with an uneven number of Girl Scouts should round up to the next full case when calculating return limits.
Example:
- A troop with 9 Girl Scouts may return 5 full cases.
- A troop with 11 Girl Scouts may return 6 cases.
Cases must be unopened, clean (no writing on cartons), and undamaged.
Gluten-Free Caramel Chocolate Chip cookies cannot be returned.
Troops must have placed an Initial Order by January 23 to be eligible for returns.

Troops should continue selling cookies after the return period and may order additional cases as needed.

Your troop has two location options for setting up a booth. If you have enough members and adults available, you’re welcome to set up at both locations to reach even more customers.

Inside:
• Stall near the front entrance
• Table provided (you only need to bring chairs)

Outside:
• On the Promenade
• You’ll need to bring both a table and chairs

For parking information, please check in with Manager Maeve. Maeve is a former Girl Scout who fondly remembers wearing a Tagalongs costume at cookie booths with her troop leader mom!

Booth Times:
• Every evening: 5:30–8:30 p.m.
• Saturday & Sunday: 11:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Warm Weather Reminder

As temperatures rise, please avoid storing cookies in vehicles parked in direct sunlight. Keeping cookies cool helps maintain their quality for customers.

Have a Troop Secured booth that needs approval?

Please remember to enter those into ABC at least 24–48 hours prior to the booth to make sure they are approved and ready for you to take cookie orders via the Digital Cookie app. Troop secured booths entered with less than 24 hours notice may not be approved in time for your booth.

Last Chance: Troop Cookie Program Kickoff

Enter for a chance to win one of 20 prize packs. Set your troop up for success this season by creating your troop Digital Cookie site and completing the entry form. Once both steps are finished, your troop will be entered to win.

Limit one entry per troop. Entries must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on March 1, 2026.

Festival Foods Booth Locations

Festival Foods requires troops to print, sign, and submit their Cart Lobby Rules at their first booth of the season. You can find the form here: Festival Foods.

Canceling Booths

If your troop needs to cancel a booth due to an emergency or illness, please be sure to cancel the reservation in ABC Smart Cookies. This allows other troops the opportunity to reserve the booth if they are available.

Canceling a Booth Reservation

If you wish to cancel a booth request AFTER you have saved the request, go to “Booth” then “My Reservations.” Scroll all the way to the far right of the reservation row, click on the 3 dots, select “Remove Reservation,” then click “Delete Forever.”
By deleting your booth reservation, it will open up for other troops to reserve.

Virtual Delivery Orders

Do you see Virtual Delivery (Pending Distribution) listed under your Booth Reservations and wonder what it means?

Virtual Delivery orders appear when a Girl Scout takes an order through the Digital Cookie app using the troop profile and didn’t select the booth it was sold at.

What should you do with these orders? You have two options:

If you have already completed your Smart Booth Divider for that booth and allocated all cookies, you can disregard the Virtual Delivery sales.
If you have not completed your Smart Booth Divider, first determine what each Girl Scout would have received from the full booth sale. Then allocate the Virtual Delivery sales to one Girl Scout. When you complete the Smart Booth Divider, do not include those Virtual Delivery cookies in the divider totals.

Hosting a booth? Let’s make sure you’re set up for success.

Set up your troop’s Digital Cookie site and download the Digital Cookie app. Take a few minutes to review the Mobile App Tip Sheet so you’re familiar with all available payment methods.
If your booth is troop-secured (meaning you contacted the business directly to request the location), be sure to enter the booth details into ABC Smart Cookies. This step ensures your booth appears in Digital Cookie so you can easily accept payments.

Reporting Damaged Cookies

Received a damaged package of Girl Scout Cookies? Please input your information, and we’ll enter a damage order in ABC Smart Cookies so you’re no longer financially responsible for that box.

We’ll follow up with next steps and let you know what to do with the damaged cookies.

Placing a Planned Order

Need more cookies? You’ve got it! Troops can reorder each week by submitting a Planned Order in ABC Smart Cookies.

Planned Orders are due by 10 p.m. on Sundays. When placing your order, you’ll be asked to select a pickup date and time. This selection simply holds your cookies in the system to ensure availability. Your cupboard manager will follow up with details about the confirmed pickup window.

Get ready for cookie delivery!

Fill out receipts for the cookies you are giving Girl Scouts to start their sales with on February 21.

After you’ve given the cookies out, log in to ABC and complete the Troop to Girl Transfer and mark it completed on your receipt. Not sure how to do a transfer?

Are you having a booth in the d owntown Madison area, at a MetroMarket or Pick’n Save, OR at a Festival Foods. Please review the specific rules for each location on Cookie Central Festival Foods requires troops to print, sign, and turn in at their first booth of the season their Cart Lobby rules.

Don’t forget to review the Booth Details to make sure you are setting up inside or outside a storefront, or if you need to bring your own table and chairs. This information can be found in the Booth Details section of a Booth location.

There are still some Council Secured booths for the opening week available!

To find a report of available booths in ABC:

Click on the Reports Tab, then Current.
Under reports, Choose “Available Booth Summary”.
Change “view type” to Text_Excel and click View Report.
You can sort the report as you wish.

We’ve also added a few new Council Secured locations.

Be sure to have families complete the Responsibility Form before they can participate in cookie sales. The troop hangs on to these forms, and they are only turned into council if you need to fill out a delinquent parent form at the end of the season.

Corporate Cookie Connection

Through the Corporate Cookie Connection Patch Program, Girl Scouts will build their skills in communication, organization, and responsibility as they learn about building cookie partnerships and closing a deal! Organizations who partner with Girl Scouts not only get to keep or donate delicious Girl Scout Cookies, but they receive supporter benefits. Girl Scouts who obtain these connections receive credit for the full number of boxes in ABC Smart Cookies and Digital Cookie, helping them reach higher levels of rewards.

Cookie University

Learn about entrepreneurial skills: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. Get creative and have fun while leveling up your cookie business.

This virtual event is your chance to dive into the world of entrepreneurship by mastering the 5 essential entrepreneurial skills: goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. Whether you're a seasoned cookie seller or just starting, you'll gain the skills to take your cookie business to the next level and have fun doing it!

There will be no virtual kickoff for this event. At the beginning of the program, you will receive an email with Badgerland Exclusive resources and ideas to help you complete the patch. Patches will be mailed out at the conclusion of the program. Register here.

Gluten Free cookies have been added to the Troops Initial Order if it was ordered through a Guarantee order or a Request order. All cases ordered by the Council have been distributed to Troops.

Introducing the 2026 Cookie Sellers Toolkit

The 2026 Cookie Seller Toolkit is now available on Cookie Central. We will be sharing this resource with families soon, and we want troop leaders to be aware of it, too. The virtual toolkit includes sample posts, goal trackers, social media graphics, and more to help Girl Scouts and families stay organized and motivated throughout the season.

Please note: Wendy’s and Goodwill are no longer Council-secured locations this year. However, both locations may still allow Girl Scouts to sell cookies. If you’d like to host a booth at one of these locations, contact them directly and enter the booth details in ABC as a Troop Secured location.

Place your Initial Order in Smart Cookies by January 23 if your troop is planning to do booth sales or direct selling. These cookies will be available to pick up the week of Feb. 16 - just in time for opening weekend (Feb. 21-22).

ABC Smart Cookie Reminders

Update your Troops information under the My Troop tab. Check the Proceed Plan, Main Recognition Plan, and Troop Recognition plan are correct. Also verify that your Troops bank account is correct.

Check your Troop Roster under the My Troop tab. Reach out to Customer Care at info@gsbadgerland.org with the name of the Girl Scout missing. ONLY Girl Scouts with current memberships were uploaded. Please complete no later than February 9 to ensure Girl Scouts are uploaded into Digital Cookie properly.

Digital Cookie Access

Guardians will receive their registration email for Digital Cookie on February 19. Guardians MUST set up their Girl Scout’s account on the Digital Cookie webpage BEFORE using the mobile app. They will need to delete the Mobile App off their device and reinstall it for this upcoming year due to updates made since last year. Actual use of the Mobile App will not be available until February 21.
